Let Jev choose a 3D character’s expressions and motion from voice dialogue

How this project uses Jev

Input
User and character transcript fragments, recent conversation, and installed expression, motion and reaction choices
Jev decides
Selects a listening expression; during replies, a Noul checks action commitment and Choices select a motion clip, body reaction, face and energy level
Code executes
Code gates candidates, confidence, commitments and cooldowns before animating the browser character. Timeouts and failures use local rules; separate components handle spoken replies and audio-driven lipsync

Evidence and limitations

Apache-2.0 code licensing, asset notices, Jev integration and motion gates were reviewed without running the character or paid services. The keyless preview uses scripts and rules rather than live Jev. Live mode needs voice-service and TypeSafe access; audio and transcripts go to their respective providers. Author-reported latency and animation results were not independently verified. VRoid avatars and other assets have separate terms, not blanket coverage under the code license.

This project has not been run independently here. Author-reported results are not independently verified results.
