Jev Danmaku Filter
Filter plot spoilers from Bilibili danmaku with Jev
How this project uses Jev
- Input
- Deduplicated comment text, available timestamps, and the video title and description, without video frames or a complete plot
- Jev decides
- A five-level Score distinguishes present reactions, guesses, concrete future events and major twists; normalized severity is compared with an adjustable threshold
- Code executes
- Batches requests and caches scores, removes flagged entries before the player parses danmaku, and hides already-rendered DOM comments. Network or rewriting failures preserve the original response to avoid interrupting playback
Evidence and limitations
The MIT license, pinned API calls and filtering logic were reviewed without installing the extension, watching a live target video or calling the model. Comment text and video metadata are sent to TypeSafe. Missing plot context can cause false positives and missed spoilers. Sampled warm-up cannot cover all comments; special danmaku and comment sections are outside scope. The author’s small-sample results and costs were not independently verified.
This project has not been run independently here. Author-reported results are not independently verified results.
