Chess with Jev

Let Jev choose among legal moves calculated by code

How this project uses Jev

Input
The current position, move history, legal moves and code-derived exchange, mate, threat and development facts
Jev decides
On turns requiring a model, a Choice selects a candidate move alongside questions about king danger, position sharpness and a plan
Code executes
Code filters candidates by difficulty, samples returned probabilities and checks the selected move remains legal; forced moves and certain mating positions are resolved directly

Evidence and limitations

Pinned source and licenses were reviewed without playing games or calling the model. This is a core-package mirror, not the complete website. Move analysis does not establish playing strength or freedom from mistakes. The chess package is GPL-3.0 and the Jev client is MIT. Requests use Vercel AI Gateway or TypeSafe; model failure can return no result.

This project has not been run independently here. Author-reported results are not independently verified results.
